am new here and finding it hard to be welcome
Welcome to the forum,@Scotty, from Oklahoma. Jump right in. Folks have to know you're here before they can welcome you. Tell us a little something about your self, if you like, and where you're from. This is a good place to hang out when you have some spare time.

Welcome Scotty.

Relatively new myself (couple of weeks), joined at suggestion of a long time (15+yrs) cyberfriend who's here.

My first move is usually to explore a site, see what kind of 'groups' or in this case 'forums' there are, react and respond to posts/threads of interest to me to get a feel for the place. Everyone that posts an intro gets a good bit of welcome messages. i didn't but my friend did one on my behalf and the response was warm and welcoming.

If you have technical questions about stuff a short direct question on your 'status' usually gets a prompt helpful reply.
