Hello from a younger senior

I am age 56, I may be a little young for a seniors forum. But in the past couple years, I find myself fitting in less with online spaces filled with younger people. And I just feel more at home with people that are older.

I have a little under three years until retirement. My husband was born with health issues so we have been putting away money so we can retire a few years early.

I am a homebody that enjoys sitting on the couch reading and drinking tea. And sometimes I crochet, embroider or do some hand sewing. And I get to bed early. Sometimes I feel like I was born an old lady and am just now growing into who I was ment to be.

I have a childish side too. I like stuffed animals and some books ment for younger readers. I am enjoying the non-fiction books from DK with big colorful pictures.

But I figure I am almost old enough for a second childhood.

Hi KathyB1968: Looking at that year, you are the same age as my son, Born 14th May. I'm old enough to be your mother. I'm always thinking young and never want to be classed an 'old lady" . In my 81st year and still in good health. Welcome to this great site.
