Just writing to say hello from sunny Corona CA. It's a sunny 80 degrees today. Feel sorry for the folks in New England with all the snow and cold weather. Hope you are all doing well and are having a great day! :)

Hi HollyDolly. Thanks so much for your nice note! Would love to visit London someday, especially to see Big Ben and the royal palaces. Went on a business trip to Prague a few years back and on the return flight saw the northern coastline of the UK (Scotland?) from about 35,000 ft. I notice you're a "senior member" and I'm a "junior member" since I just signed on today. How does one become a senior member? Thanks again for your note. Stay warm!

Welcome TJ. It was 88 here yesterday, I haven't checked yet today. .... Sunny and warm though. Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome AZ Jim! Are you an Arizona native or a transplant? When I was in the business world a few years back, would fly in to spend time with clients in Scottsdale, Flagstaff and Tucson. A radiologist in Tucson once talked me into a round of golf when it was 115 degrees! I gave up after 13 holes. Just too darn hot! I also remember driving from Phoenix to Flagstaff in the summer. It could be 110 degrees in Phoenix and 75 degrees when I reached Flagstaff. Thanks again for your welcome. I greatly appreciate it! Hope you're having a great day!

I have been here about 10 years. I was born in and retired from California '91. Yes it get's hot in summer here.

My motto is "When it's too hot for most, it's just right for me!"

Thanks for your nice welcome. How exciting to live in Scotland and then to be able to travel to Thailand! Are you currently in Thailand? Hope you're having a great day!

Love your motto! I can take the heat but not humidity. Before moving to California in 1981, my wife and I were briefly in the Houston area during the summer. We were dripping wet from the humidity, so we hitched up the mules and made the trek to So Cal.

Thanks Ken. I have deep roots in Texas. Had a relative on my Mom's side of the family that died at the Battle of Goliad, my brother has lived in San Antonio for 40 years, his kids live in Dallas and Houston, and I have a son who lives in the Midland/Odessa area.

Hello TJF, and welcome. I think after 10 posts you become a senior member. Not a big deal. Glad to have you with us.:)

Welcome to the forums, TJFriday. :)

"Junior Member" and "Senior Member" are user titles, you will be a "Senior Member" after you have 100 (or 200, I don't remember exactly) posts. We should come up with a new set of titles that are a bit more creative and fun. :D

You can use a custom title if you like: https://www.seniorforums.com/profile.php?do=editprofile
