Hi, I'm one of Jazzy's folk, coming in late.
And I notice someone else familiar here... hi, Trila!

I'm couple years "underaged", but I guess you can let me in, eh?

I'll probably mostly be talking about sports - coming in just in time for Olympics! - and entertainment, music and perhaps language (not being a native English speaker).
And Finland. There's a joke that if you know someone from Finland, you'll know everything about Finland... because he'll tell you.

Hi... glad you found us (not sure what "Jazzy's folk" is) but Senior Forums terms state:
"This Service is only available to users who are at least 50 years old. If you are younger than this, please do not register for this Service. If you register for this Service, you represent that you are this age or older."

Aw heck, now I feel like "the bad guy" but that rule's always been in place here.

Agreed... it may sound harsh, but it's the rules .. and if we let one in we have to let them all in...so please come back when you're a over 50 years old... we'll be delighted to have you here... sorry!

Agreed. Letting one underage person in is unfair to all the other underage people we have not let in. Best to keep to the rules.

@Kaunisto, Hope to see you again when you meet the age requirement. :)
 
Well Kaunisto you're super welcome here. Move it. You're too young. My goodness. Well maybe this is a sign for me to go do something useful with my life and stop hanging on internet all day.
 
Finding out late in the game that I’m 60 percent Finnish explained a lot. Lol. (Pops is 100 percent according to his DNA, lol.)

Agreed.

I have to admit that I don't understand the thinking here because it seems pretty straightforward to me. This is a 50's and over forum. You need to be 50 or over to participate here.

I understand wanting to be inclusive and "give people a break." But if we do that for this person who, I believe, was 48, then we need to do that for anyone else who is 48 and wants to join. So we then become the 48's and over forum. Until someone who is 46 wants to join and, hey let's be nice and let them. Then, of course, anyone else who is 46 ...or maybe 45ish wants to join should be allowed because we've already let someone else.

Now, we're the 45's and over forum, until...

It's not mean to stick to our own rules about this space.
