I just joined this forum and looks like a pleasant place to spend some time. I am 67, retired and live downtown in a small city. A year and a half ago, I moved from my off-the-grid homestead in the country to my apartment. I was in an unhappy situation for a number of years so took a chance on starting a new life. Best move I ever made! Looking forward to meeting everyone here.

I really understand selling the homestead and moving to an apartment .... I did the same a couple years ago, and am loving life now too!

Well hello neighbor,I'm in New Berlin just over the hill from you,my children both live in Norwich.
I'm 65,originally from Staten Island,moved upstate almost 27 years ago,pretty much did the same as you,the homestead got to be to much after hubby died in 06.
