Good Morning and nice to meet you,
I live half time in San Francisco where my honey owns a house and the other half in Petaluma where we rent a sweet cottage near enough to the countryside to see cows, horses, lamas and sheep whenever we like. Moving between urban and rural every three or four days gives us more than enough opportunities for adventures even though sometimes I need to dig in my heels and just stay put for a week or two.

I'm 72, a widow, a published author and artist and I love walking, exploring, gardening (except because of the drought, I didn't plant a thing this season) dancing, good food, and music.

I have four grown kids and six grandkids, a great part of my life. My sweetheart and I met on an online dating site and have been living together two years. What else would you like to know?

Looking forward to making new friends.
Gail

Hi Gail, welcome to the forum from London England.

It does sound like you're a talented lady who is enjoying life to the full. I haven't any idea where Petaluma is..but I live on the borders of North London in the countryside so I understand your love of your rented cottage..and all the animals, although we have sheep, pigs cattle and horses in the fields and farms close by I must admit we don't have any Llamas :D

Welcome Gail from West Scotland! I know where Petaluma is from trips to Cali in the 90's. I also understand having the best of both worlds as we live on a quiet coastal road but can get to a big city - Glasgow - in about 1.5 hours. Met my husband online as well! :)

Hi Gail! I used to live in San Diego but now I'm in NCarolina. You have the best of both worlds…San Fran and countryside, lucky you! I just started a thread for my art and I see you like art too. I'd love to see it so if you feel inclined then you could put some photos of your art in a new thread under "Hobbies". It's great to have you here!!

Welcome! Last time I remember Petaluma from was about 1944 they were the chicken capital of California as I recall. I was a boy coming back from our home in Lakeport to Los Angeles.

Hi Gail, glad you're here with us!

Welcome, Gail! I'm your neighbor to the south in San Diego. I lived in Santa Cruz for five years so I'm well familiar with both San Francisco and Petaluma - all lovely parts of our great state! :D
