I'm here primarily because I'm an insomniac and the late night boredom is rough. I live in an apartment and I have to be quiet after about 10pm because there's a little 5yr old living above me and he has school. I think insomnia is fairly common among seniors, especially retired ones, so hope this works out.

Welcome anodyne. I moved back to Fresno from Roseville two years ago and had insomnia for three weeks and then when I got all settled in I had no problem. I too live in an apartment but there is no one above me.
 
Hi there. I am fairly new myself, just a few weeks. Great place. My niece and her husband live outside LA. They have been there a few years and like it. I always say SOMEDAY I will do the trip cross country to visit them.

Afternoon over here is when most of Seniors are asleep. You and I should be able to chat in those hours without fear of interruption.

I was born in Sac. I moved around quite a bit when I was in my 30s and 40s, and then came back and resettled. It changed a lot in the meantime...not the pretty, clean, friendly city it once was.
