Hi everyone, I am brand new here. I live in Oregon USA. I work from home and also take care of my disabled 22 year old son, and my youngest who is a junior in high school. I have been divorced for 10 years and I have four children. I feel quite isolated some of the time and Im hoping to connect with others and share some time with you all. I love art and music, reading, nature and I wish you a beautiful day!

thank you both for the warm welcomes! "thatguy" you live in Monterey? I love it there, have kayaked in the bay a few times with the seals and the sea lions and that huge kelp :)

Isn't it beautiful being out there among that fantastic sea life? Of course, I ain't gettin' in no yak. Stickin' with my trusty board. Know some guys who paddle across the bay from Santa Cruz to Monterey. THAT is something!

Nice to meet you Raina. Pretty name. I always thought Oregon was a particularly beautiful state.
Hope you find this site helpful and that you find more happiness in your life and make friends. God bless you for taking care of your disabled son. That is not easy and all the best to you.

Hi Raina, welcome to the forum! Oregon is very pretty, we've spent some time camping near the coast.

HI Raina welcome to the forum .

I have never been to the USA never mind Oregon, but we used to get a TV show called Little People over here in London. about a family who live in Portland... ..Matt & Amy Rolloff and their family....and so we got to see quite a bit of the area around where they live and it looks lovely!!

Welcome Raina! Love where you live-I have friends there. My friend from high school is a veterinarian in Beavercreek and her daughter lives in Oregon City. Don`t get to visit as often as I`d like but thinking about going through this summer when we go to Idaho.

Hi Raina, Happy you joined us. We're fairly close geographically....I'm in So. Calif. (L.A. harbor area).

Have a cousin in Eugene and a friend in Beaverton. You're gonna love it here on the forum.

Hi Raina5 and welcome to our friendly forum...

Yes, though I am American and have only lived here for the last ten years.
I love the west of Ireland especially, Co. Clare. Where did you go when you were on honeymoon?

Welcome to the forum, Raina5...I'm in Fresno but go to the Monterey area every couple weeks! just came back from there. I've never been in. Oregon though.
I just love that area, for a few years in a row i had the opportunity to stay in a beautiful little cottage in Carmel by the Sea and that whole area, Monterey, Point Lobos and Big Sur, is like a beautiful dream!

We landed in Shannon, i'll always remember the view from the plane, we arrived early in the morning and the sun was fresh up and everything was so green! then we bed and breakfasted our way around, we went to Galway, and Ennis, we spent two nights in Dingle, and stayed in a few other towns, I forget the names, it was lovely
