Hello, I hate these introductions. Hope everyone is enjoying life!

I got to see it after all....(y) did you write that after your wife passed ?
I have written music since I was 15. I was proud of some. I have written one song since she passed. It's a really good song, but it's emotionally impossible to play for me currently. Life plays with us, but it beats the alternatives.

Was that your song, @MadMongoose66? It was wonderful. I am learning guitar so it was good to see the chords.
Your voice was smooth. Great job! Thanks for sharing!

I write songs and have made music videos out of my poetry and shared here. If you want to share your music, you can post it
in the Entertainment section of SF. Several members are musicians here, including @OneEyedDiva and @Paco Dennis

So sorry for your loss MM6. I'm always interested in hearing stories from fellow musicians, so I hope you stick around and share some of those with us. Thank you for the shout out @palides2021 šŸ¤— I consider myself a composer, arranger producer who happens to play The Clavinova and released some recordings. I am not a performing musician but admire the hell out of those of you who are!

You've got some pretty chords in your song. It's nice and sweet. Thank you for sharing. I don't think it's strange that you enjoy old blues and gospel and especially not 50's music, which has roots in the former genres.

We have several other categories and literally thousands of threads to check out. Some of them are informative, educational, heartwarming and some are downright funny. That being said, I wish you a warm welcome.

Very kind words from a kindred soul. May I ask... what is a clavinova? I'm intrigued?

Thank you. I was born too late. Musically, I've got some old and not so old musical heros. Robert Johnson, Cab Calloway, Count Bassy, the Drifters, Dion & the Belmonts, BB King, Little Richard, Elvis, Beatles and ZZTop. I feel like I've left someone out. Hmmm. I know I have missed many.

The Yamaha Clavinova has several hundred instrument "voices" and rhythms. This allows me to work in several genres, including Latin, New Age, R & B, Reggae and Smooth Jazz. It sounds like I have an actual band playing with me. I record the music on the floppy disks (speaking of old school :D). My son, who is my studio engineer transfers the music and does what's necessary to finish producing and mastering the tracks. He used to have to run a wire into our studio; now he has the the Logic music program and transfers songs directly into that using midi.

Nice keys ! Yamaha makes great instruments. Kudos to your son, midi is the new normal for music access and transfer. I have messed with it a little. I know just enough about keyboards to get me into trouble.
🤣 I learmed the basic chords, etc. I've always had one in my home until I moved a year ago. Gotta buy one soon. I would love to hear you!
