Hello: Linda from Houston, Texas

Hi, I live twenty miles north of Houston, Kingwood, which is now part of Houston. I retired from public teaching of sixth grade social studies three years ago. My husband died of cancer the last year of my teaching making that year very challenging. I met a man a year later that his wife had also died of cancer about the same time. We clicked immediately and got married a year later. I moved to Kingwood and not knowing anyone i have started joining a few things to meet people. I was glad to see this site where I could go and talk about things that other retirees would want to talk about.
 

Hi, Linda! Austin, TX., here. Man, your expressways are such a mess, and I haven't been back since a month before Harvey. Hope you can get around OK. I'll be in Houston, next month. Hope I can get around OK.

Hi, Linda. I am in Houston too in the Clear Lake area. Did you have a problem with flooding there in Kingwood? I saw that a lot of people did there.
