I've been reading this forum for a few days and like what I saw so decided to join today.

I'm 62, widowed for almost 10 yrs now and live in Fresno , CA. I have 2 children and 5 grandsons.

also...I see that you live in the Monterey Bay area...my daughter lives in Salinas. they also have a dental practice in Pacific Grove.

Yes we are and go to upstate NY in summer. I was stationed at Camp Roberts in 57, 58. Discharged from Fort Ord in 58.

In 58 I was in second grade in Pittsburgh.

I'm sure you know that fort Ord has been closed for a long time now.

I have a lovely neighbor from Hungary, and what an inspiration she is at 86...visits her children and g'children on a regular basis and sharp as can be. You're very fortunate to have experienced such international flavor.

I think so too, and although I wasn't born in Hungary my late husband was and so were my parents so I speak it fluently.

My husband was the on business for 6 yrs and I went with him...it was the best years of my life!
