Help Editing My Profile Settings

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, perhaps someone could send me to the answer?

After signing up there were a number of profile settings for my account, visibility of his and that and so on. I can't seem to find those any more, and want to look them over to decide whether I might want to change some of them.

Thank you for your patience. I may be old and feeble but trying my best to avoid being a pest.

@dilettante ... up on the forum bar ... right side ... where your Avatar and Forum Name is shown ...
Click on your forum name and a drop down menu appears ...
Click on "Preferences" at the bottom of the drop down menu and change most anything you like

I think I found it:

• Click on my avatar/name in the dark blue bar of the page's banner.
• In the box that pops up, click on one of the things like "Account details."
• This takes you to a page with the stuff, including a navigation bar on the left to select a category of stuff to review/modify.
