Here's my Snowmageddon from Dallas

It is solid ice outside and not expected to go above freezing before Tuesday. Nothing melted at all today, even though the sun came out periodically. There were absolutely no tracks in front of our house today. No one is driving. You can see the comparison of our patio before and after. The ice is up to the curb in the front of the house. It is so cold outside that when I opened the front door a wasp's nest had fallen off the wall and onto our welcome mat!

I can't believe the Mavericks played last night at American Airlines Arena and 17k people had to head back home in this. There were literally drivers who couldn't make it up the hill on the freeway and were stuck in the middle of the road!

I do feel very fortunate compared to those in other parts of the country. Hope those of you affected are okay!

Actually, we've never had a year without snow in Dallas, but it usually melts the next day. THIS is all ice! I went out onto the patio and could hear it crack underneath.

That could be very slippery as well.

Hopefully you’ll have no reason to walk around outside for a while. Ice is the worst for falling.

Now you have a great excuse for kicking back and taking things easy. At least for a couple of days.

And can someone tell me, why those people knew this stuff was coming yet there they are. Even when I was young and bold even the weather said stay home, I stayed home.
