Hey, how's it going today for you? It's 2023. An alternate thread for different people.

Jasmine is my little Parakeet. I have herniated discs in my lower back. I'm not sure what's going on with my hip. I haven't seen a doctor about it but I should. You see I have been going to doctors and getting lab work since I was about 25 because I had a bad chronic condition that needed constant monitoring. I became sick of it and now I really have to push myself to get medical help. I have some conditions that I just put out of my mind. I know it's not the right thing to do but it is what I do.
Off topic, but I had a little Cockatiel named Chi Chi when I was young and alone. He knew how to say my cat's name (Cleo) and when I opened his cage door he would fly over and sit on my head or sit on the edge of my plate and eat my spaghetti. Birds are very smart and are great companions.

I had a great day today because the sun was out and it was 65 degrees outside. I walked by the lake while listening to music and it felt ethereal. Amazing what a little sunshine will do. Tomorrow will be 46 and windy so I know my mood won't be so great but I will plow through it.

Not great.
@Bethmt

Maybe that's a sign that things are about to get better.
Every single time in my life that things weren't great,
eventually they always, every time, improved. I hope
the same will happen for you. You made it through
other not great times I bet. Don't lose hope yet! And -

Had a great ride today...managed to get my favourite horse.
While at the stables, I was asked if I could help out with the disabled kids
for a few hours tomorrow.
So I'll be giving them rides and those who are
afraid of horses, the goal is to help them get over their fears.

Have a great weekend lovely people...don't stop smiling....hard sometimes, but worth the effort ♥️♥️♥️♥️

First of all…..I would like to thank Ruthanne for creating this thread.
Have been spending time reading posts here, and come to learn there are so many caring members here.
I can see a lot of positivity and support for each other.
Also see a lot of sharing. 😊.
I can be a bit reserved at times……but……I see no one makes any judgements to others…..Thank you, members, for that.
I hope to join all of you in this thread, if I may.

I found another Paperwork Dragon Lair and have slayed the beast!! (+ excess art/craft/postal supplies)

Now for some Friday fun!

Maybe a trip to the used bookstore (No, seriously, that's my idea of fun) ... I picked up a couple books at the library book sale, but both were clunkers =(

Going to make another batch of Masala Chai base and refrigerate. Also will make a recipe for dal that was a winner a couple weeks ago.

Y'all have a great day!

I've missed the nice people here. (That's each and every one of you.) I've dropped in to read a little now and then but it's been a very busy week. I can't catch up with all your comments so I'll just say I hope things are going well and I will try to come around more often when I can.

It's been busy out in the world this week with so much news. I spend a lot of time following that in the appropriate places. :censored:

I'm still researching senior living options and continue to think I'm probably better off in my own house. 👵 However, I might tour a couple of places soon. It's probably best to be fully informed.

A nice thing happened this week. A lady I used to see often called me. We sort of lost touch during the pandemic as people were staying home so much and then when some groups resumed she didn't return. She and her husband are not getting out as much as they used to. Now we're back in touch and that's a good thing because I always enjoyed her company. I lost a few friends during the pandemic, not directly to Covid, but some because of issues caused by the pandemic, such as moves out of state, unrelated deaths, etc. It's good to get one back. :giggle:

Have a great day. I hope it's 🌞 where you are. That always makes such a difference!

I haven't ever been to Montana, which I think is where you said you are, @Bethmt ?
It must be cold there, too, this time of year, as it is here in the Northeast USA, as well, though some of our snowcover has melted and shrunk down, this week.

Spring comes late here, but it does always seem to come!
Looking forward to it! 🌷🌻🌷🌼🌷

Thus far, winter has been on the mild side, with a minimum of snow. However, we still have March to get
through. We take trips out of town, 2-3 x a week. Just drives through the country where we see farm
animals. Then, we pick up groceries in the smaller towns. It always does us good to get out, since we
are still masking up, and don't go to group gatherings.

Thank you, I am feeling a bit better today. Just a lot of little things that can seem overwhelming when looked at all at once. But today's a new day. :)

Yes, I am from Montana. We've had an unusually cold winter this year, but this week it's been nice. It's close to 50 right now. Same here about looking forward to spring!

God bless all of you who have posted on this thread. I want you to know just how valuable you all are . I love your differences and similarities and enjoy communicating with you. I'm a bit of of shy person so it's not easy to let you all know how much I appreciate you but maybe I can show you 😌

Ruthanne,

You do show a lot of appreciation, understanding and insight with your posts and thoughtful threads. Keep up the good work.
I have to add that we know that you are dealing with some rough health issues at this time and that makes your participation here even more meaningful. @Ruthanne

I am very glad you are feeling better than you were,
@mrstime !

@Bethmt Thank you for the replies!
I looked up Bitterroot mountains, and they seem extremely gorgeous and inspiring. I was an outdoors person who loved hiking and camping, which I can no longer do at all, but it was fantastic to imagine. I had wished to spend time in the Rocky Mountains, but only got a couple of glimpses of them, years ago.
