So glad to hear you slept good and long and you're feeling better. No doubt, I am different! I wonder what it would feel like to feel the so called "normal". It is exhausting suffering from anxiety and worry all the time.
At least, I did sleep well and long last night. I hope I well continue to feel well today. I need to do a cook up so I have things for the next few days. Just doing that relieves a lot of stress. Then I can go just take out a precooked meal to heat. I am making a plan now. When I use the oven I like to cook a variety of things that can be used for several days. So far on the list are biscuits, bacon, chicken breast and roasted carrots/potatoes. Maybe a pie or cake.
Next thing, 2 of the dogs need to go in for yearly checkup and blood work. I need to groom the little boy. Funny how I feel the need to clean him up even when he is going to get a professional groom.
I also need to get to the pharmacy and pick up the meds the orthopedist gave me or my neck. All though I feel pretty good, I just don't want to leave the house today. See, told you I am wierd!! Have a great day, we just have to take it a day at a time.
GreatFeeling 'pretty good'![]()
So is your ear any better now?Good thread Ruthanne, a hospital visit for a blocked ear for me this morning, the nurse settled me on the bed and started the treatment as I relaxed to some gentle background music, after a while she said “someone is desperate to get hold of you” the ‘music’ was an alert on my mobile phone, (shows how little I use it) anyway we were both enjoying it so I left it on![]()
Best wishes for good doctor's visitsThings are going pretty well for me. With the exception of having many Drs visits which are common for people of my age.
That's wonderful you were able to get outside. Hopefully Spring isn't too far away and well all be able to enjoy new flowers and maybe a warm breeze.Yesterday when the paths were clear, I managed to get outdoors for about 10-15 minutes, and enjoyed the cool fresh outdoor air. I was once an outdoor gal, but now, it's too difficult and therefore, a rare treat for me. I gazed at the trees and the birds, and the sky. Everything looks different, from how it looks from indoors, looking out, which is my usual view of everything.
I am glad I did, as today we have quite a bit of snow, and I would not be able to go outdoors.
Today, I am watching the birds and trees and scene through my windows, from indoors instead, but glad I got the close-up and different outdoor view, yesterday!
I cleaned my cat's ears and claws, and got her hair brushed. That is needed more often now that she is older.
I feel good about taking care of her. That is not easy for me and it's something that is important to me.
Different can be a good thing. Lots of people are getting snow now.. I wonder if we will here. Yes, get those errands out of the way--I need to do that too.Hey, Ruthanne! I haven’t followed the other thread much so know nothing about it. It seems like every time I do say something about what‘s going on here I’m waiting for snow. Yep, snow again tonight and more on Sunday.![]()
Good thing the sun usually melts it some in between.
I must run a few errands so I don’t have to drive while the roads are bad.
BTW, I don’t know if I’m different or not. Some folks say I am.![]()
I hear you. I haven't slept yet and don't know when I will.Woke up after only 3.5 hours of sleep and couldn't get back to dreamland. Rather frustrated at the moment.
I'll have to check it out.I just read that if you put a bar of soap - especially something like lavendar - between your sheets before you go to bed - that you will sleep better. I sleep okay but, it might be worth testing out and, if nothing else, it will smell nice![]()
Better than it was thanks Ruthanne, using drops for the rest of the weekend and they’ve scheduled 6 monthly check ups for meSo is your ear any better now?
That is the same by us. I prefer the snow to stay in the mountains but the valley has received a fair amount this winter.Picture taken from the house yesterday.

I have a lavender mist spray specifically made for better sleep... a little in the air, a little on the pillow. I am a true northerner, in that I love the smell in the air of snow. If I don't have to travel, I try to walk in the snow, make a snow angel or two, and have been known to make a snowman!"According to olfactory scientist Pamela Dalton, that unmistakable snow “scent” can be boiled down to three things: cold weather, humidity, and a stimulated nerve in your brain."
I'd rather smell spring flowers.
I think I had some of that lavender scent mist too at one time. It didn't make me sleep but, like you said, it made my bed smell real inviting! lolI have a lavender mist spray specifically made for better sleep... a little in the air, a little on the pillow. Didn't work.(But I have the best smelling pillow cases in town!)

I hope you'll be doing better soon. I only got a few hours of sleep, too. Gratitude seems to help everything somewhat doesn't it?I'm doing okay, today. I didn't sleep enough overnight, either, but will nap, soon.
Not doing great, but thankful for what I do have.

Thank you. I'm feeling better than I was. Sleep will happenYes, it surely does! I agree.
While I rested in my cozy bed this afternoon, with my comfy, warm blankets, I felt grateful for them,
and I also hoped for more sleep for you, soon, and for the others here, too.
Thank you. I'm feeling better than I was. Sleep will happen![]()
