hello hollydolly! thank you for the welcome- there is nothing like being on the back of a horse riding outside and enjoying nature and your surroundings-some of the best rides I've had were on a sunny 35 degree winter day with snow on the ground. The horse feels energized, no bugs, no sweating and they feel frisky and playful - Once you have been bitten by the horse"bug" you are good for life! sure wish everyone could experience riding just once!

Hi jujube! thank you for the welcome! You live in FL? I am wanting to move there from IL - I have had it with winter and cold and snow! Where in FL are you located? I have friends in Poinciana and they love it-although I am wanting some where close to horse stables so I can keep riding - I am told around ocala is good horse country

Hi Gmacookie

I admire horses very much. Used to live next door to one, but I can't ride. Tried it years ago, when that thing gathered it's muscles and took off I almost freaked out. The guide got it to stop. Last ride.

Welcome to the forum. I'm new here too. Riding your horse! Cool. Don't recall if I've ever even been on one - although there are people with horses within a mile of where I live.
