I am new here today. I am a widow and looking for a nice forum to talk to others. So many forums I have been invited to seem to
be argumentative and not very peaceful. :) I have lived in several States and now am living a very short distance from my
daughter and her family. I have a small but fairly new house...and it is just right for me. Easy to keep nice, and places for my flowers.
I have very nice neighbors. No pets anymore...my old, loving buddy Cat died about 3 years ago, and I just don't have the heart to
get another. He was my comfort when my DH was sick and dying. My DH brought him home to me for that purpose, I think.

I hope it is ok with everyone if I join in. I will probably not be back tonight (dinner with the kids), but will check in tomorrow.

So sorry you lost both your husband and your beloved cat so recently, but it must be comforting for you to have your family close.

Wow...thank you so much...feels like home already. Just to un-confuse my posting....my DH has been gone quite awhile, the
cat more recently. He brought the kitten home while he was undergoing unsuccessful radiation treatments. Thank you, all,
for answering so quickly. Will be back later to get to know everyone. And....so happy there are no Politic sections...real life
has far too many of them right now. ;)
 
60's lady if there's anything that bothers you, like too many emails, or you want to exclude any part of the forum threads in your feed, just say... Matrix and Seabreeze or admin will help you out with that!!
 
Wow...do I ever owe everyone an apology. I am so sorry, it has taken me this long to get back here. Life really got in the way for awhile. Hoping that
I can now come and join everyone. With the Holidays so close (not sure where time goes), winter is soon upon us. Cold here, leaves have changed
and fallen. No snow (except for a "skiff" on the grass a couple of times) but it surely will come. If any of you are in the path of that terrible storm
through the middle of the U.S....I am so sorry. Please be safe and warm. Hugs.
 
Welcome 60's Lady! No need to apologize; I'm glad you're busy. I'm in CT, we got about 5" last night. What general area are you in?
