I just filled out a profile so I don't see needing to bore you all with those facts again.
I found this site to use, mainly, as a diary. Sometimes it's just nice to reflect on things that happened yesterdays. And, well, it's nice to chat with like minded, (aged), people.
I guess that I've had a storybook life and a storybook marriage. OK, some of the books could be very adult readings. Ha!
My wife, of 46 years, and I never had children. So, we don't have grand children either and, listening to our friends drama with those, we're glad we never did. We only had financial issues the first couple of years of marriage. When we met, I was an Air Force Combat Control Ssgt and doing decent financially but after my discharge, months after we wed, I was a cop for two, very poor, years. I quit the force and got into sales and sales management and we finally had money. My wife worked as a bookkeeper for a couple of years and then went to college, got her bachelors and masters, and got into education.
My hobby had always been writing. When my wife finished her Masters, and the dealership I was GM at in Oklahoma sold, we moved here to Florida. We had enough money to buy a house and for me to take a year off to see if I could make a living writing. I wrote numerous chap books, three teen novels, and tons of other stuff that made some money, and still does, but not what I'd call a living so I went back to work.
Now we've both been retired for nine years.
OK, that's about it for now. Hope to get to know you folks better.
