Well here goes...I am new to this so bear with me. My husband and I have been married for 17 years and and lived in the same house since 2003. We are both disabled, but when we moved in here we were able to move mountains and take care of everything. It seems like after we moved here things started going downhill healthwise. But that will be for a different thread. We have 3 cats...2 are feral and 1 is strictly inside. The 2 feral cats are indoor and outdoor and the one is my husband therapy cat. The two of them are inseparable. We are far away from family..which I miss most and my parents are both 90 so I fear that I won't have them much longer. This is us. I guess my question should go into a different spot where it may get more response, but it is about selling our house so see you there.

Thanks for all the welcomes...this seems like a great group and very active. I will need to check out some of the other forums and see what is happening once I get my questions answered......

The age-old situation for so many people. Move someplace that you really want to be in, but possibly separate from family. If I didn't have extended family, I would live up someplace in your area (Northern Cascades) in a minute. But, family is in Chicago area so I stay in the dull midwest and save the mountains for trips. Choices, always choices.............

retiredtraveler-I visited here on vacation at 10 years old with my family and decided that I would live here when I was old enough and on my own. After high school, got married, kids, divorced, wanted to move but ex did want the kids out of state. Long story shortened....Moved here is 1997 and have never regretted it. The only part I wish is that I could be with my 90 year old parents and help them out since my family isn't there for them like I would be. We will for sure be staying in this part of the country
