Redrose, a belated welcome.

My wife & I both cook, and I make pizzas (from scratch, mostly... from store-bought freezer crust, if in a time pinch). Anyhow, my wife makes tomato sauce every year from our home-grown.

She cans, freezes & dries a lot of things from the gardens we grow. Blueberries, strawberries & raspberries being among my favorites.

I do freeze every thing from my garden because I don't have a cool room to store canned goods. Even sliced cucumbers for salad. I don't have a big garden anymore, grow my vegetables in grow bags, it's easier for me.
