No they don't. I was married to one for nearly 20 years. He never went to a "seminar," and they sure as heck never made up any dramatic terms.Every year, meteorologists attend a seminar or two. There, in addition to learning about the latest forecasting gizmos and theory, they are given the new buzzwords and jargon for the coming year. Atmospheric River was one of a few years ago and now heat domes seem all the rage. Weather is still weather but what they call things changes...usually to the more dramatic.
