Holey jeans ?

What's the deal with the current holey jeans fad ?.......back in my day you'd have been considered dirt poor wearing holey jeans out in public.

I guess I should have kept mine through the years instead of using them to play tug of war with my dogs and wiping up oil spills in the garage......there's no telling how much money that they'd have been worth today. :)

I grew up with the same beliefs, no holes in your jeans, no underwear showing, etc...

When we went downtown to the big departments stores or the movies we had to dress in nice clothes, no jeans, shorts, etc...

But that was then and this is now. If that is the biggest fault we can find with a kid I would say that they are doing pretty well for themselves.

Holy jeans are a fad that will either go out of style like so many others, or it won't.

I'm far more concerned about the damage the girl in Ike's photograph is doing to her feet with those shoes. She's too young to have bunions caused by bad shoes.

The thing that cracks me up is that the stores sell these "rags"....and at a Premium price. I've seen them displayed in a shopping center store for well over $200 a pair. I guess there is no shortage of people who have more money than good sense.

Yes, you dressed for town. My mother even wore gloves, and OMG you'd faint if your slip was showing! People stared.

Now, Even Meghan Markle wears ripped jeans... I really don't care, but it's funny how much they can cost.

Some must end up,with a patchy sun tan on their legs from the rag bag jeans .....next time my hubby wants his Levi’s mended I’m not going to ..it’s fashionable to wear them even when they are ready for the rag bag

Holey jeans have been around for I think about 20 years now, I never liked them and don't/won't wear them. I have enough trouble not looking like a vagabond!
