When we lived in Colorado, we had three beautifully painted ceramic cowboys and an Indian, an entire wall devoted to rodeo and old TV Western stars and their horses, Indian Chiefs and had a subscription to Farm & Ranch Magazine. Had a Hat Rack with our cowboy hats and baseball caps on it. Our tall gun/rifle case sat beside the front door. Yep, anyone who came into our house knew right off that part of our lifestyle was Western/rodeo/cowboy, as much of Colorado is known for. Obviously not everyone living in Colorado has their home decorated like ours was, but we moved there due to Western stuff and our involvement in pro-rodeo.
Now, when we moved here to Florida, the ceramic cowboys/Indian were given to the Goodwill, the cowboy hats stored in boxes in a closet, but kept a wall for our rodeo and old TV Western pictures. Our gun/rifle case had to go into the closet, due to the Renter's Policy. We bought pictures and painted ceramics of lighthouses and displayed them. Of course, when we first moved here, we really thought "this is it", but have changed that thought. Now, in making plans on going back to a "Western State" (to us, anyway), all of our Florida stuff will go.
So, is your home decorated to match where you live? Many folks who live in the Southwest, furnish their homes/apartments with Southwest stuff. People who live along a surfing/beach area would probably have ocean and surfing pictures on their walls.
