Homemade bagels

My daughter loves to cook and bake. She sent me a photo of her first attempt at making bagels. I'm sure my son in law and two young grandsons will devour them in no time. Considering we aren't Jewish they sure look good. Everybody loves a good bagel.

They look yummy Ruth, I love a good bagel with butter, either salted or onion my favs. Does she have to boil them or something before baking them, I think I remember something like that?

Those look good enough to eat. She did a great job, especially for a first try. I learned to love bagels visiting Bruegger's Bagels in Boston. Fantastic! Not sure who, but one of the bagel shops has a slogan, "If it's not boiled, it's not a bagel."
