Honestly sometimes I don't understand men

I love my husband. But sometimes he'll say something and I want to thump him on his head. We'll be watching TV and some actress or some famous female will come on the TV and she is, let's say, 73 years old and my hubby will say, " Wow. does she ever look good or attractive or beautiful, etc."

And I agree with him if she is attractive and usually she is. And I'll say, yup because she has had some work done to her face, body, has a hair stylist, etc. And he'll say I don't think so. Ok, time for a thump on the head. Take a look at the photo showing Jacklyn Smith (76) with her son and a picture when she was very young. You have to click on the photo to see the whole thing. Oh sure, she looks like that naturally, not....

Yeah, it's easy to look good if you have a lot of money. Plus quick and easy access to the nation's top cosmetologists, plastic surgeons, make-up artists, fashion stylists, hair stylists, and the finest wigs, weaves, and extensions. (P.S., I'm a man)

Is it ok for you tell him it makes you feel bad when he says he doesn't think so? You might want to explain why it makes you feel bad; that it's because, by not accepting that their "ageless" beauty is definitely not natural, you feel like he's thinking you aren't aging well. (P.S., I'm a man)

There are videos on youtube where plastic surgeons break down famous people's cosmetic procedures over the years, and explain how you can totally tell they've had work done. Dr. Gary Linkov is one...and that's the name of his channel.
 
Certain actresses are just plain annoying! They just do not allow age to catch up.
Men don't notice anything except the image. I always remind my husband that those glamorous women would not likely be very pleasant in person and wouldn't do all the things he is so used to - being waited on hand and foot.
 

I think her face looks frail, like an old lady, while her son's face is actually more vibrant. Despite plastic surgery, great hair, I think they both look their natural ages.
 
I kind of like looking at women who make an effort. I think that is what it is…an effort to remain pleasing to the eye. If i had lots of money i might make more of an effort…hair..nails…😃
 
With Photoshop, anyone can look years younger. Martha Stewart was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and she seem to be in her 40s. Then I saw her doing a cat litter commercial, she was an 80+ year old woman.

Just wear deodorant and a big smile --and clothes of course. That's more than enough effort for everybody I know.

When asked how she kept such a good appearance as she aged Dolly Parton is supposed to have replied, “Darling, haven’t you ever heard of doctors?”
