It's been a while since I visited the group—I miss you guys. Never in a million years did I think I would publish a second book at age 65. My motto is, you are never too old to fulfill your dreams/goals. I pushed past my fears and made it happen. What have you accomplished at a later stage in life that surprised you?

I've managed to stick to a weight training program for eight months and will continue on. I've changed my diet and will try to be in my best health in my seventies. My goal is to feel well even though I'm old and gray.
Congratulations on your book! Now THAT is an accomplishment!

Thank you! Kudos to you on your weight training program. Your goal is the same as mine: to be in my best health in my seventies - we got this.(y)

What is the subject of your book?
 
Yesterday I read a lot of quotes and ideas on perseverance.

Many of them echoed a similar message. Those who don't quit stand a good chance at being successful.
You seem to have nailed it. Congratulations!

I started writing a book last year. Went full steam ahead for a few weeks and just bogged down. Now I go to the folder once in awhile to see if I can still get it going. I even took classes before I started. I wrote a few short stories in the past that were well received.
 
My older sister has just finished her book for the family detailing everything she can remember from when we arrived in Australia in 1947 up to today. She even went on the internet and found photos of the hospital she was born in and the first school she attended in Australia. She told me to do the same for my family but looking back in the past I thought I had a boring life.

Many thanks to you. I have all of the above. I will try all avenues before giving up. I am very curious; I don't assume, I ask to ensure I have all relevant information, and I practice self-criticism.

UPDATE: My books are now available on various e-book platforms: Apple Books, Google Play Store, Barnes & Noble, and more. Print and ebook (Kindle) can be found on Amazon. Never in a million years did I think this would become a reality. Thank you all for the congratulations. It means more than you know. Monetary is not the goal; helping others is my mission. :love:
