Hi there folks. I am a much older widow (lol) and reside in Jacksonville, Fl. I no longer have cats but do have 2 old dogs. One is blind at age 13 and requires a little care. My husband died from cancer in Oct after a long battle. I hardly know how to talk to people if it doesn't involve what is new for cancer and how can I continue as care giver before I drop. Guess I am pretty tough because I am in good health and would love to chat with others who don't quite know what to do with themselves. I worked at a hospital for 37 years, in continuing medical education for 17 of those years. I met a lot of interesting people and enjoyed working. I think I just might be bored.

Bobbi, I'm glad you discovered this forum. There are lots of really nice people here with a wide range of interests so you'll probably find plenty to discuss. We have cats and 2 dogs. One is a not-so-mini Long Haired Dachshund who just turned 14. His eyesight isn't very good anymore and he has a few health issues that we've been treating with supplements at the Vet's suggestion. I worry about him all the time.

Please jump into any of the discussions here that interest you. The Games section is a good place to start if you're interested. We can always use more participants in the Limerick game!
