Hot bath...natural hot spring

A cave in Iceland contains a popular hot spring.

It's waters are heated by volcanic activity underground called Grjotaga.
The cave is located near Lake Myvatn in northern Iceland.

Has anyone ever done 'something' like this?..special treatment?

I've been there in August 1984. But the water in the cave was already too hot to take a bath. Our guide told us, that it was still possible some years earlier. We looked into the cave and took some pics nevertheless.

My sister and I went to a hot-springs resort in New Mexico for three days several years ago. Ahhhhh. It had several different kinds of water that occurred naturally, some hot enough to cook your flesh, some just hot, some warm, some cool. There was also a natural mud bath, which was interesting. There was a huge body-temperature pool that was open til midnight. Floating in that pool, looking at at a billion stars.....sublime.

Same sister and I were at a hot springs resort in Costa Rica that had pools cascading down the mountain. At the top it was steaming hot and each pool got cooler as the water ran down. We'd start at the top, work our way down and then back up again.

There's nothing I'd rather do than to go spend a week at a hot springs resort and just soak the achy old body again in healing waters.

Isn't there/Wasn't there..one FDR went to?🤔

Somewhere in the South?

Plenty of hot springs across the volcanically active regions of the Pacific Coast include several east of the Sierra Nevada. Some of the more popular one, like Hot Creek near Mammoth Lakes have now been fenced off from the public due to drunks and trashing by usual Earth monkeys with pig behaviors.

There were hot springs near Mammoth Mountain CA. After a day of skiing, it was great to soak in the springs.

I went to Harrison's Hot Springs in B.C. when I was about 8 yrs. old, and at Vacation Bible Camp.

The Hot Springs was very nice. The Bible Camp was not.
