Hot humid weather and my skin

Not only ucomfortable, but I get red bumps that look like mosquito bites on my face mostly (although I can get them elsewhere) in sticky summer weather, especially if prolonged. I have consulted with many a doctor about this. Most just prescribed antibiotic cream, but that didn't help. One finally got me in to see a dermatological specialist. He diagnosed it as prurigo nodularis which is not contagious, but unfortunately there is no remedy. He added that this is most often seen in people that have clinical depression or excessive stress. I will not post photos of my problem, but photos of this condition can be viewed online which are often worse looking than what I have.

One of my best friends suffers from the same, Deb, and the same also happens when she's out in the cold.

She suffers mildly with it, as the condition (when present on her skin) is subtle, nonetheless, she's had it for as long as she can remember.

If these bumps cause you to scratch and itch them...which probably makes them worse....try a bottle of "anti itch" called ChiggerEX sold at Walmart. I get clobbered with chiggers every year when doing yard work, if I forget to spray myself with Deet. I've tried various remedies, over the years, for treating bug bites, and this ChiggerEX is the best, by far. It's fairly cheap and worth a try if itching is causing problems.

They only itch when they first appear, once they "crust" they are just ugly, but not uncomfortable. They look bad which makes people understandably not want to get near me even though they aren't contagious. However, with the obligatory public mask wearing, that hides a great many. I get most of them on my chin and around my jaw line for some reason.

So many types of skin conditions, most of which probably fall under "a topic" Dermatitis or Eczema. Never had any skin issues until a couple years ago when I got a severe case of poison ivy. It took a bout of prednisone & topical steroids- 4 months to get the poison ivy in my rear view mirror... ever since, when the seasons change from spring to summer or fall to winter, I have got itchy red patches on limited areas of different parts of my arms or legs for a couple of weeks or so. They burn at first then itch.

Aveeno Eczema Therapy really calms it down until it fads away. It might really help you too. They have done clinical studies to prove it works and seem to have a lot of loyal users. Most drug stores carry it and its not expensive. Its a wonderful moisturizer, too. Has oatmeal in it and been clinically tested like I said.
I read where Wheat Grass Extract/Spray would remove it and stop it period, so just started that this last time.
