Hours of Sleep

I'm 8-9 hours of sleep nightly. .. And something that you are not supposed to do, I fall asleep with the TV on, and timed to turn off.
But it works for me and I have no intention of changing that routine.
Now, If I have to stay up later into the evening, past 9:30 or 10 PM, I have a terrible time falling asleep.

wish I did bonnie --- I can go a few nites with hardly any sleep - then I feel like a zombie -then sleep kicks in and I have slept 2 nites right through yipeee ..bad sleeper on the whole

When I have a nap during the day or evening I often don't get enough sleep that night. Lately been sleeping about 5 to 6 hours per night and am tired the next day.

I'm a short sleeper. I go to bed about 1 AM and fall asleep immediately. Usually sleep 6 hours per night and wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day. No naps during the day.

Pain makes it difficult for me to go to sleep but after I am asleep I can usually sleep 7-8 hours before wakin.g

I've always needed at least nine to feel good, but haven't often gotten it because of lifelong insomnia ...truly lifelong as in came into the world not sleeping well. It's impacted my life ...change in career goals, knew I couldn't have children, working much less that I want to now because in addition to the problems with sleep throughout life, I now have fibromyalgia. FM and insomnia often morph into this negative feedback loop. Pain>poor(er!)sleep>pain
