House where I used to deliver meals is on the market

The price seems high to me for being a 1950s bungalow, but they are playing up the location being near Saratoga Lake. My last delivery there was in early April. I haven't seen the client's name in the obits, but that doesn't mean much - many people that pass don't have published obits. She could have gone into an assisted care facility.

Real estate prices are way too high, all over the country. As the population continues to grow, new home construction sites are rare, so "demand exceeds supply" in most places. Under normal conditions, the house in the OP would not be worth $100K.

Anytime you get near water, prices get ridiculous. But for close to half a million, this is really a joke!

The roof, foundation, floors all look deteriorated. The kitchen is a nightmare and I would be terrified to set foot in the bathroom.

Are they afraid to show the bedrooms?

If I could gauge the house's condition by the client's behavior, I'd say it got pretty run down. The last few times I was there, siding was coming off the house, the porch was cluttered with junk and the lawn looked like it hadn't been mowed in a while. The photos look like they cleaned it up a lot.
