For years we've been plagued by the garage door not being able to be closed because of the early morning sun shinning on a safety sensor. What worked for years was just positioning something(like a trash bin) in order to block the sunlight. For reasons that are unknown, that solution is not working this year. Did the Earth change it's tilt? I don't know, but I got fed up with it all and found a solution. According to Genie, one simple solution is to swap the positions of the sending(red) and receiving(green) sensors so that the sun won't shine on the receiving sensor.
