That car certainly has head turning style. In my youth it was the Jaguar E-Type that turned heads.
A car lusted after by boy racer twenty-somethings, but in reality, driven by much older fellows. They had the money, the boy racers didn't.
Whenever you see a British made film set in WW2, you will inevitably see a Spitfire pilot driving an MG sports car, like this:



The model is called the MG TC. For me it wasn't the E-Type it was the TC.
Just like those geriatric E-Type drivers, I too was of similar ilk before there was enough cash in the bank for a TC.

My wife indulged me, but she did point out that being asthmatic, open top cars, in conjunction with airborne dust and pollen
was not a sensible mix. MG had a plan B for such would be buyers.


It's called an MG Y-Type, perfect for asthmatics. (Can you see my fedora hat?)

I still enjoy seeing these vintage, classy cars. I used to see one from time to time that was more similar to the top photo, but I doubt it was an MG. It was beige and in pristine condition. I believe the owner used it for weddings and such.

RED, my favorite color, it has always been.
My youngest uncle's first car was red, and every time he went anywhere with his beautiful red car he would get a ticket. It attracted cops. When he got rid of the cop attractor no more tickets.

1973 Jaguar E-Type, sold at auction for £50,000. Someone clearly likes red classic cars.

Within about 15 minutes by car is a street that for years has had old classic cars parked on it. This style Jaguar was a real head turner. Not that brilliant red however. A more subdued color. But still such a rarity that it was a joy to behold.
