How about convenience stores?

Someone I know said she found bread, milk, juice, bacon, & eggs at a Speedway.
She got one of each item, and sure, the prices are higher but at least there were no hoarders.
She even saw a few single rolls of toilet paper on the shelf. GASP!!
They always have beer, soda/pop, chips, and something for the sweet tooth. They restock quickly from what I've seen.

Anyone checked them out? 7-11, Speedway, UDF, & Mom & Pop corner stores

Saw my neighbor this morning. He'd been looking for bread at convenience stores. He looked yesterday too, and came up empty. Dave and I were in HEB later in the day, and Lo and Behold! they had bread, so I bought one for us and one for the neighbors. We have a smallish Mexican grocery in town, and their parking lot wasn't full, so I wondered if they might have more things. We were able to get a chicken, produce, butter, but no eggs. And NO toilet paper.

Yes, I've been using small stores for eggs, milk, bread, bananas, that kind of thing. I started this habit many months ago.

During the last few days, I went to 2 grocery stores, 2 dollar stores, and a convenience store- no bathroom tissue anywhere. Very few other paper products either.
I noticed some convenience foods- t.v. dinners, ramen, etc.- had vanished, too, but there didn't seem to be any shortage of regular foods.

The local convenience store is Git'n'Go, and as they often run out of necessities in general, I shouldn't have been surprised to find no tissue there.

I was at Walgreens Weds morning, didn't need the toilet paper.I saw another customer hovering over the stock clerk as he was trying to restock the product on the shelf.I thought she was too close to him.I was able to buy disenfectant wipes which were out of stock a week ago

I almost never buy milk but when I do (for something I'm cooking) the milk from convenience stores or CVS or Walgreens is ALWAYS fresher than milk from Kroger or Walmart. Always.

No need right now. I have everything I need. We have a neighborhood supermarket where I can pick up most items I would need to get. They are out of paper towels and TP right now but I have enough of each for about 3 months. So a convenience store would only be if I got desperate, a situation I try to avoid.
