How about some new discussions?

We've gotten to know each other so well that we can pretty much predict what each of us will say when it comes to an exciting or controversial topic.

We need some new blood!

We lose interest in a lot of things as we age. Don't show your age Lon...fake it :D

Regarding politics...talk about boring *yawn* Every day, same ol' same ol'.

Well.. Maybe we could pull up Lon's old thread, "What would you do if you had a four hour erection?" (Or something akin to that.) That was a barn burner..

I had just joined SF when Lon posted it, and about fell off my chair when I first saw it. I thought it was a hoot, lots of fun with many great replies.

That's my $00.02

Yes. And I belong to a couple [politics forums]. I come away depressed after visiting them and come here to get my spirit back.

This is a great forum.

I agree, Camper6! And having just spent the better part of this weekend listening to/trying to extricate myself from politically charged group conversations IRL, I'm even more certain that I don't want to seek that kind of thing online.

Gotta confess that this newbie favours a bit of the 'meaty' stuff sometimes too.
But I read the 'rules' before I entered so I'm happy to go with the flow.
If occasionally I can't 'help myself', I'm sure I will be told .............. :)

Only passing thought - when these religious/political/environmental topics do occur - and passions rise,
participation in those threads usually boom.
People actually are drawn to a bit of 'blood on the walls'.
Just watch a couple of those horrible (but highly successful) "reality" TV shows.

Like a moth to a flame. And you know what happens to the moth.
