I remember that I even gave a presentation on the origines and the customs of Valentine's Day at the university. As a German it was new for me, since this is much more common in English speaking countries. Mostly I give my wife flowers. On other Valentine's days I give sweets. One time I baked a cake with a red marzipan heart on it.

Valentine's Day in second grade with my teacher. Had to be 1959. Since VD was on Saturday that year, this photo was probably taken on Friday.
