I remember that I even gave a presentation on the origines and the customs of Valentine's Day at the university. As a German it was new for me, since this is much more common in English speaking countries. Mostly I give my wife flowers. On other Valentine's days I give sweets. One time I baked a cake with a red marzipan heart on it.
