How are you today?

A friend invited a group of us to brunch for her birthday. IHOP has a value menu and a meeting room that easily accomodated 18. Her daughter and husband footed the bill as their gift to her. It was a joy since I get out so seldom and we vow to do it again soon and pay our own way.

t has been so long because this friend had a bad fall several months ago and had to curtail her numerous selfless activities. We were asked to each bring something for the food pantry. She wont give her age but we think it might be 85.

Good morning. We haven't had any rain (and none expected) so our pollen count is probably higher today than yesterday :(.

Maybe today the rest of the mulch will get spread.

It's national Chocolate Covered Raisin Day.
I remember getting hooked on those as a child. Although we lived in a small town, a movie theater was within walking distance. 35¢ for a Saturday matinee. If the three kids in the middle of the pack (of which I was one) were skint, Mom treated for the ticket and a little candy. (I now realize it was a small price to pay for a few hours of peace in the house.)

Went every Saturday I could and always had enough pocket money to buy a box of chocolate covered raisins. 😋

Thanks for pulling on that happy memory cord.

I'm still alive😆 the walls are so thin here so I knew my neighbor would hear me. I talked with my kinda soft voice. Put my mouth by the wall and told him I couldn't sleep with the noise he'd been making at all times of the day.

I know he heard me because he stopped making lots of noise. I am still shaking from him. I pray he doesn't start up again That was 3' days ago. Would all who pray please do it for my health and safety.

I really live in a crazy place. I'll be so happy to move!!

I pigged out for a few days. I'm going back to my careful eating plans. I've lost some weight already for eating better this month.

Well it's time for The Price is Right.

God bless.

@StarSong I loved them too and would eat them until my mouth was sore.

I think I've got a line on a new job. A pollen counter! It's measured by how much pollen per cubic meter. That would take a long, long time, and if paid by the hour...LOL...I'd probably have to work at night in order to have it all counted by morning. Oh. Never mind. I don't do numbers. I can count, but when they got too high, I'd probably lose track.

doing ok here. praying every day for the pain to settle down soon. i got some supplements yesterday that will hopefully help make me a little more comfortable. also preparing for the next 4 days of work.
