How are you today?

Yabbut...fast food? Geez, you don't even need a HS diploma for those:(

I guess I should be grateful that I don't need the money. I only want somewhere to go and something to do.

Have you checked out opportunities for volunteering? It would have to be something you are interested in. Is there a senior center near by?

The senior center near me closed in 2010. No kidding. The closure was a result of the recession of 2008, and it hasn't reopened. There are others that are all church-related. The only other thing nearby is the library, and they're overloaded with volunteers. The food pantry is way too far from home. :(

BTW, I'm not forgetting gelato tonight. Eating some as we speak!

I’m gettin sick of our lying wether man , I got up at 7 am stripped our bed to wash sheets …put then in machine before breakfast so they were finished by the time we had our porridge….and its cold cloudy and miserable outdoors …it’s supposed to a nice day 21c today … and it’s almost 9.30 am no sun what-so ever

Good morning 👋

It's a lovely sunny morning and the washing is already outside airing off.

It promises to be busy week next week so, I am looking forward to a peaceful, restful Sunday. I think we will go for a walk later, pop by the bakery for some freshly baked bread and into the florist for some fresh flowers. If it's still warm later, I plan to sit outside and read for a while and hopefully top up my tan :)

Have a lovely, lazy Sunday (y)

@Kadee So the US isn't the only place where the weatherdudes predict what probably isn't going to happen? They finally quit promising rain so it's back to watering flowers every day.

It's a nice, cool morning. I even put on a robe to sit outside with my coffee.

Gotta think of things to optimize and stuff. @IrishEyes My brain is still only in second gear. It takes a while before I can get to drive.

Good morning. Well, I hope it's a good morning for all of you. Not happening for me.

Watched 3 year old grandson last Tuesday, and DDIL let me know Thursday that he had a fever. By Friday I had a slight sore throat. Woke up at 3 AM today feeling lousy. Took a test and yup, Covid again. This is bout #4 for me. Dec 2020, March 2024 and August 2024. I seem to be more susceptible than most.

On a scale of 1-10 of being sick, I'm only at about a 4 or 5, but on the scale of annoyance at being sick, I'm at a solid 9. I had a very busy week scheduled from today through next Saturday.

When DH gets up I'll have him take a test. If it's negative, I'll be moving relocating to our guest bedroom and bathroom. He's only had Covid in Dec 2020, so he seems less susceptible than me.

Oh no! Take good care...you must get enough rest. Hope DH escapes it; he needs to hold the fort too. Is baby very sick? Hope not.

@StarSong Not again! I don't remember whether I've had it twice or three times, but truth to tell, once was more than enough. Vaccine, boosters...>le sigh<...I'll still get a booster again this year, though.

Here's hoping your DH doesn't get it, too.

@RadishRose Never mind that nibbling stuff. Just go ahead and polish off that chocolate cake. You don't even have to wait until after dinner. I read a while back that chocolate cake is good for you for breakfast.
@RadishRose to add to @Georgiagranny's excellent advice; I have it on good authority that it's healthier to eat chocolate cake really, really fast, so fast in fact that your body doesn't even know you ate it all ;):)

DH is negative. I've isolated in the guest suite. On a happier note, according to medical advice I won't be infectious anymore when I test negative. Hoping this will be a short-lived bout.
