How are you today?

I've spent almost this whole day sitting on my dead center. The dishes did get washed, and the litter box was cleaned.

I read recipes and added stuff to the grocery list. Added lots of stuff to the grocery list.

And watched mindless TV.

I have lots of new recipes. Mindless TV did nothing to improve my mind.

@Paulina Speak up, gurrrrl!

I saw a pain management doctor yesterday for my lower back. My spinal MRI showed stenosis up and down my spine, but he thinks the major problem is at L3-L4. So I now take 100 mg Gabapentin for 7 days and if no side effects (like thoughts of dying, anxiety, etc.) then 200 mg. So that brings me up to 6 prescription medicines per day plus 5000 IU of Vitamin D3. If the medication is not effective then I would get a cortisone injection. After that are surgical options. My daughter takes Gabapentin for her MS.

I also have had less severe but persistent shoulder to shoulder pain. So this same doctor is having me do a cervical MRI next week to see what is going on there. Two years ago my primary physician had me do an Xray which showed some arthritis. But an MRI will give the doctors a more thorough look. I had cervical disk surgery 30 years ago but that was a different type of pain (severe shooting pains down my right arm). That surgery saved my life.

I’m good , ( We) ~ had a very busy day in the garden yesterday in preparation for going away for 4 weeks at Christmas time .
Hubs installed new drippers on most of the veggie patches , cause despite us planning on being away I’ve still planted most summery types of veggies to have leading up to us going away ( not going till a week before Christmas ) we’ve got a watering system we operate from our phones while away )

I slept for 9 hours last nite with almost 4 hours deep sleep 😴 according to my Apple Watch ⌚

Its forecast for a reasonably nice day today ,so we are planning on taking our usual morning tea with us ( in our travel mugs ) to have in a park that overlooks the ocean , then go do a bit of a food shop .

Got a busy week coming up from Saturday , so we are planning on staying for a few days in the city next week to attend another ball , as well as a normal Sunday afternoon dance ….think ill need to be like a bear in winter and sleep for a week after attending a sat nite dance ~ and another the next day , never mind it keeps us as fit as we can be at our very late 70’s

I woke with a migraine today, same one as yesterday, for which I had to take two separate migraine meds. However they did work and as one of them is supposed to last 48 hours, I waited a bit to see if the morning's migraine would dissipate on its own. It didn't. I took a Sumatriptan and within a couple of hours I was feeling better.

That was a lot of words to say, "I had a migraine and medicine made it better." lol

Seriously, where is @Paulina?

My husband has taken Gabapentin for several years for back pain. Between that and an occasional Kenalog injection, his back pain is managed pretty well. Hoping you tolerate it well. 🤞

No side effects yet for DH or me from yesterday's flu shots. Hoping it stays that way.

I'm better than fine now. DD had to go to the bank and took me along. Then we ran by Publix so I could get the ingredients for tonight's supper.

It's a really nice day even if it isn't really cool yet. It's 79 and breezy so doesn't feel too warm. I parked my bony butt on the patio with a glass of iced tea for a few minutes.
