We are going out for lunch today , it’s our 38 th wedding anniversary.. ( 2nd marriage for both of us )

its kinda coolish for spring ….the day we got married is was 43 c ..109f ..it was boiling hot 🥵 today it’s 21 c …69f

We've booked a table at a nice hotel we went to with friends just before Covid, we hardly ever eat out so it’s kinda a treat for us , we went dancing yesterday ,so hopefully I burned enough calories yesterday:):)

so I can be extremely naughty food wise today ….if I think of it I will take a photo of what I order / eat ..may even lash out on desert ..we’ve put $100 aside for our meal , hubs will likely have a single glass of of beer , as for me it will be a a glass of soda water with a touch of lemon squash ~ i have never touched any alcoholic drinks🍷 don’t even like the smell let alone drink the stuff …

Dancing again tomorrow afternoon, while down in the city till Monday

My husband and I went to see John Fogerty (CCR) on Wednesday. He just turned 80 years old and he sang his heart out!~ I'm not expecting to live that long, but just in case --- it's great to hear about people that are 80 or almost 80 - still going out dancing!!!!! ♥

It’s getting a bit warmer here ( spring for us ) lots of little self planted tomatoes popping up in our garden
they usually come up each year, I’ve never planted cherry tomatoes …but thats what comes up year after year
My fruit trees are covered in nice shiny green leaves so it’s nice to see a bit of green in the garden

I’ve gotta go soon going to the spring ball tonite ….its only morning tea time for us right now

This is the skirt I’ll be wearing , got to decide on a top but we don't wear anything frilly of fancy so it will be a light green t- shirt type of top …like this ….and to be quite honest it’s only from Temu , I like some of their tops for fit and coolness / comfort… for everyday wear and dancing

Good Lord I miss all of you. I so sincerely hope all of you are doing well. I so wish I could speak to a mom with a severely Autistic son and speak with you wonderful people on a day x day basis. It's just not so at the moment. On 6/6/22 our son was able to escape his group home, and I believe I mentioned this before, but he ran onto a freeway onramp and was hit and run by an idiot that left our son on the side barrier of the freeway. The aftermath? 10+ months in the hospital and almost 11 months thereafter in a professional rehabilitation facility over 500 miles away from us.

Well, I thought I had progressed from that horrific incident but sure enough, his new (supposed) 24/7 watch safe facility slipped, and our Quinn ran away again leaving it up to the local police to pick him up and drive him to the nearest hospital. I owe you all a sincere apology. I have to admit. On 6/6/22 my spirit was torn and gone. I truly don't mean to sound like a sorry sap but since this last incident nearly 2 months ago I'm so, so very angry and frustrated. This so-called safe care environment for our son isn't real. After 28 years now with our son being so, so, so severely Autistic, I'm just so, so very tired. Exhausted if you will.

One bitch on this site said I have problems. Well sure enough I do have problems that you can't even fathom or relate to. If you're reading this, I hope you get over your numerous divorces and have recouped from your stint in the Pen. Lay off and don't bother me again. To all others? You are truly, truly wonderful and many thanks.
 
I'm fine again! The bed held me captive until 8 this morning.

The garden has been watered and some plants deadheaded. Some of them, like cone flowers, don't get deadheaded because I leave the seed heads for the birds.

It's cool again this morning and expected to stay on the cool side at least for today. Yippee. The predictions of rain keep getting moved out so that now we have a 40% chance of rain on...Wednesday. Wednesday? Good grief.

@Paulina...I'd give you more hugs if the system would let me. I don't even know what to say because the only experience I have with autism is a nephew who's verbal, fortunate enough to have graduated high school, and employed by a facility expressly for autistic people. He's in his 30s now, an only child who still lives at home..

I can't even imagine how difficult it must be for you. Consider yourself hugged again and again and again.
 
Much cooler weather in the forecast. A prelude to winter. Snow is in the forecast in some parts of the country but looks like we will escape it this time. Going to spend time cleaning up the yard today.
 
What a nightmare! I hope you can find some peace in the fact that you are doing everything you can do. If support helps, you got it.

That word is sNOw. Repeat after me: sNOw :D :D

How did I ever live in a place where 250-300" of sNOw was a normal winter? Especially after living in Hawaii as a child during the war, moving back to that sNOwy place, then moving to the Southwest for more than 30 years and still moving back yet again for another 16 years. How, I ask!

When it sNOws down here, the entire city shuts down, sometimes almost the entire state. As it should since we don't have things like sNOw plows.
 
Been doing some on-line shoppping looking, to no avail as yet....need to get this reliner replaced before it completly falls
to the floor....so many of these websites, from well known retailers..are just crappy as hades to manuever....there is drop box after drop box to advert something, maybe not what you are looking for, chat boxes wether you want to chat or not, sometime there is only about one inch of space where you can
see an item completely...also is a problem on delivery and or
set up, and haul away of the old one....so far not much luck...but i will keep on keeping on.....
Also considerring a laptop tray for when I'm in the recliner,
but not sure how big a one I want....
Weather is 83F and sunny, lawn guy on his way....so all is good!!!! :love:
