@Kadee, you meet more than the expected hours for exercise. You also are working your mind.
Yep,we sure do …. @Jules its easy to forget the steps of dances if we have not done them for a while , like the Melba blues we’ve not done that for …maybe 5 years, ( I call it the outside foot dance :):) ) because we are both facing what’s known as line of dance …so both facing the same way ….so we both start with same foot …(right foot )
We've been dancing 14 years and know about 120 different dances

Good morning, kids. I'm splendid, simply splendid!

Last night DSIL brought me the cutest ever dessert from the place where he had dinner with a work friend. It was a little chocolate mouse that I thought was cake. Turned out to be mousse...Mousse Mouse 😋.

It's been forever ago since DD, DGD and I went foraging in the Goodwill store. Sometimes we even find screaming deals on heaven-knows-what. I'm feeling a strong pull toward the Goodwill store. Need to see if DD can be coerced into going this afternoon.

Pouring my coffee I thought.. oh geez Dr. Appt Tuesday and I can't
have coffee for the lab tests. I just want to smack myself :ROFLMAO:
I thought of the members here fighting the health battle and here
I am already groaning about I can't have my coffee for a test.
Grow UP Missy! Got myself back in line now, let's have a great day!

This morning, like I do every morning, after dog walk and exercises, I made my breakfast and brought it downstairs on a tray.

Disaster.

When I turned to put my 1/2 wheat bun and hummus on the desk, the entire tray fell off the table.

This is a basement with concrete under the carpet, so the glass bowl containing my peeled and cubed honey crisp apple shattered coating everything in glass. My apple, my perfectly chilled lime yogurt, the other half of the wheat bun with sugar free raspberry jam. The only things I saved were my tea and the 1/2 bun with hummus because they were already on the desk.

Welcome to the next 30 minutes of my life. :(

I had to throw it all away, of course, and then laboriously pick up pieces of glass (I cut my finger, but it wasn't bad) and then vacuum, thoroughly. Only then could I go back upstairs and make my breakfast all over again.

You know when things like this happen and you just sort of stare at if for long seconds thinking, "That cannot have happened?"

Ah well, behind me now. But, sheesh. lol

@Medusa Good grief! After all that, I think I'd have retreated to my bed for a while longer and started over.

We went to a thrift store instead of Goodwill. I liked it a whole lot better than Goodwill. It was so clean and organized and the clothes were actually sorted and hung by size, and the prices were better than Goodwill.

There was a pair of thigh-high, gold-sequined boots with 4" heels. Imagine if I had a purple satin mini-skirt and a multi-colored sequined tube top. I could go out steppin' on New Year's Eve (and probably get arrested!). The darned boots were a size too big, and I couldn't find a purple satin mini-skirt or a multi-colored sequined tube top. Drat. Guess that means I stay home with Maggiecat on New Year's Eve.

DD found a pair of brand new jeans and two tops all with the store tags still on them, and DGD found five (six?) pairs of jeans and a couple of tops. The total? $47. That's some serious thrifting!

The best part is that the profits from this store all go to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Gotta love that.

I've had lunch and ate the rest of the Mouse Mousse for dessert. Ready for a nap now.

Great haul! You're making me nostalgic for my thrift shopping days. 🤗

My wife reacted to the flu jab last night, it knocked her about quite a bit, the effects left her feeling exhausted, with that she got herself off to bed just after nine. Making sure that she was settled I stayed up until half eleven, but only so that I could switch the washing machine on during the cheaper rate time for electricity.
The lady's night was unsettled, but she stayed in bed, other than a trip for a sweet pea. This morning my own bladder got in on the act at five am, I couldn't get back to sleep so Senior Forums gets another night owl. How coincidental that a night owl thread has been started.
Around half six I went back to bed and crashed out until half eight. It was good to see my other half finally in a settled sleep. I left her to sleep on, although she will nag me for it.
Brownie points this morning, I remembered the washing, unloaded the machine and pegged the washing outside on the rotary airer. Drying in the open air makes it smell so fresh, it's one of the benefits living close to a forest away from big housing complex.

My garden, look at the shed at the bottom of the garden, you see the right hand window, that grey pole-like thing covering the bottom of the window is the rotary airer with it's rain cover on.
Brownie points 2. Whilst my lady slept on I dusted and polished throughout our living area, I shall probably be chided though, but with a smile, my wife is never ungrateful and is pleased that I share domestic chores. The chiding? I am told that I should vacuum before dusting. Quite so, but that might wake her.
I let her sleep on and heard the the tell-tale flush coming from the en-suit, my cue to make her breakfast. Toast, fresh fruit and piping hot tea.
We need some provisions so I might be out shopping later and if this glorious, albeit cold, sunshine continues, I might go out in the old MG.

I'm doing just fine this morning. It's my best time of day and when I can get things accomplished. About noon I start to fade.

@horseless carriage C'mon over and make my garden look like yours. I'll be home all day.

It's another overcast day and how yesterday started out, too. There was no rain predicted yesterday, but we got sort of a very light drizzle that lasted almost all day...more than misty but not really rainy...and it looks like today will be the same. Not complaining because it saves me having to water the garden.

Walking around in circles. I have a pair of earbuds that say they’re pairing but aren’t. I explained this to DH while standing near the front door. Gave up trying and went for a walk. Just sat down to read up on a solution. First thing to do is make certain they’re 100% charged. Really the first thing to do is find them. I’ve looked everywhere in every logical spot. Guess this means I’ll get more steps on my tracker.
