How are you today?

I'm just dandy, thanks for asking. Hoping @Paulina is doing well.

It's going to be another lovely day in the neighborhood. DD and I are going to Aldi first crack outta the box. There's something there she wants to make sure she gets before it's all gone. I forgot what it is. I'm only going along to get out, but since the 🦅:poop: in my bank account during the night, I might spend some💸.

@Jules Remember on Sunday morning you said you overslept?:ROFLMAO: That's all kinds of wrong. You underslept. That's why it was later when you got up...because you didn't sleep long enough to get up on time ;). I'm old, and I know stuff

Woot Woot! Early payday this month. Thanks for the heads-up!

This time of the year is typically expensive for us because we often vacation late summer/early autumn. True to form, the last couple of months walloped my checking account. I maintain some slush in that account but nowhere near enough to cover big vacation expenses plus a $3150 dental bill. Time to take a draw from our business.

The last few months of the year serve as good reminders that DH & I didn't kept our business open solely because we enjoy the work.

My day is better now that the vet has been here and gone. That means I have to write the clinic a check as soon as they send me a bill because the vets never know how much to charge - they just turn in what they did plus whatever meds they dispensed to the office. Sometimes they forget to turn the bill in and I have to remind the clinic to sit on the vet so I can pay the bill. There are people that might try to get out of paying the bill for that reason but I’m not one of them.

My horse, (who is about 30) has a severely strained tendon on his only good leg. The clinic I have been with for 20+ years, started out with just the owner, but now they have seven vets, three who make Farm calls. The Vet I saw today is new at the clinic. She is like all the other professional caregivers for my horses. She adores Duncan, thinks he is very handsome and that he’s not too thin. I seem to be the only person who thinks he’s too thin because I can see most of his ribs. Even my Tennessee Walkers weren’t this thin in their elder years unless they were sick.

At any rate, I already had Duncan on NSAIDS. She told me to keep him on them and to cold hose him twice a day.

Duncan loves people so he was sure to stick his head over the pipe rail, waiting on somebody to scratch his chin and of course the vet & the Tech both complied.😇😇

Feel like an achiever. got my back and front yards all mulched before it warmed up
in record time this time. Dogs were quite happy I was done so quickly.
Son signed on house and got keys yesterday. He sounds like he's 5 years old on'
Christmas morning again. Love hearing him so happy, he so deserves it.
It's a Blessed day!

Feeling positive. I’m wearing my fall coat that I bought at a consignment store a while back. Five compliments before noon. Maybe I should take a really long walk this afternoon so I can really get a swollen head.

I'm attending a very ritzy event next month at the Four Seasons Hotel and when I say I have nothing to wear, I'm not just whistlin' Dixie.

My social occasions don't demand more than the occasional Sunday-Go-to-Meetin' dress. Well, I do have the monstrosity I had to buy for my cousin's wedding last year but that's never going to be seen in public again.

I don't want to pay $200-300 for a dress, either. So today, I hit the consignment shops and found a designer beaded midlength Little Black Dress that fits perfectly. AND it was on sale for $12.85. I have some splashy jewelry, an evening purse, a pretty shawl, and..maybe..the right shoes already.

Woo-hoo, I'm ready to go!
