How are you today?

Feeling very Blessed today coming into the Holiday.
Son invited me over yesterday for some of his home-made chicken soup, so delicious as always!
Stayed a tad too late and it got dark before I got back home but I made it home safe.
Son's GF trimmed my hair for me also in the back and evened it out, feels so good to have that fixed.
My oldest gr-son and my only grt-gr-son were there too so got to love on them both.
Today I go over and help the GF with peeling, chopping and other pre-cooking tasks so she can work her
magic with less time constraints.
It's nice to be involved something other than leaf clean up to look forward to. :ROFLMAO:

Laundry done but not folded. Vacuuming up litter not done. Bed not made. Pie not made. And furthermore, I don't feel like doing any of it. So there.

And DD is on her way home from her work-from-office job and 360 tells me she's at Aldi. Without me!

Good Thanksgiving Eve to all who celebrate TG.

Last night we went with DD's family to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. They always put on an excellent show, but this one was particularly spectacular. We've seen them before but it's been a while. We'll be sure to buy tickets again next year.

Traffic was a misery because of two bad accidents, both requiring helicopter medevacs. One on the way there, one on the way back. What are the odds??? Since the helicopter lands on the freeway, no lanes are open from the time the chopper is nearby until it takes off. There were so many emergency vehicles that I doubt there was more than one lane open even before the chopper showed up, and for quite a while after.

Bottom line: a 1.5 hour drive without traffic clocked in at over 3 hours each way. So glad we'd built in extra time to get there. DD drove us all in her van, bless her.

Yeesh, those accidents sound awful.

But glad you had a good time at the orchestra. :)

And I was wishing for a new leaf blower. Mine died this past summer.m

Just a heads up GG….i bought this very same cordless Greenworks blower (see below) way back in 2016 & it’s still going strong. The battery has never given me a single problem despite also using this same battery with a couple of other Greenworks tools. And the reallyyy exciting news is that I just looked on Amazon and they’ve got a Black Friday deal going that prices this thing at LESS than i paid for it almost ten years ago. Pretty remarkable, right?🤣
So anyhow…thought i’d toss this unsolicited info out justtt in case you want to add it to your Santa list…

Thanks for info @Lizzie00. I'll check it out.

It's nippy here this morning, only 36 degrees. Might get up to 50 today. Sunny.

Small turkey breast is in the crockpot, but I got up too late to put the bigger one in, so it'll get roasted in an oven bag. Only thing left to do is make the dressing.

Sausage and cheese muffins have been made and mostly consumed already. I saved a few to take to DS tomorrow.

Good morning @Paulina. Hoping your Thanksgiving is a good day. Please come back and post...you're missed here!

Today is just excellent so far and I expect it to continue to be so. Husband, son and I will cook together and then play cards and have dinner. Just freaking lovely. 🤗 No calorie guilt today (or tomorrow)!

Happy Thanksgiving! (And if you don't celebrate: Happy Day!)

Edit: typo - of course.

My wife had joined a Catholic church group on a pilgrimage to Italy that included participating in the general audience of Pope Leo. When she came home last weekend, I welcomed her with a dozen roses. Guess what: she bought some other stuff and split up my roses in every room, with the largest bunch reserved for today's Thanksgiving dinner table. So, now I am handing those roses on to you to have at least pictures of flowers on your table just in case you don't have some flowers on your own.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!! GOD LOVES YOU, AND SO DO I.

Having some coffee and toast and relaxing while I wait to go to work. I slept pretty hard so I woke early. Infection still bugging me a little. Probably not gonna be pushing myself too hard today at work.

Hoping everyone has a good Thanksgiving.
