How are you today?

Wow! We're in the tropics. The temp is 59F!

Went to the supermarket with DD and bought ingredients for sausage and peppers for supper tonight. Somebody on FB posted a recipe, and I was reminded that we haven't had that for supper in a zillion years. It's on the stove right now, and boy oh boy, it does smell good!

Not good. I had a spell of some sort Saturday evening in the dining room. One of my table mates thought I was having a stroke. I well might have been a TIA. Lasted only a few seconds but I felt a severe buzzing in my head, jumped up and blacked out. I knew something happened but no exactly what.

Since my 3rd hospitalization last year, some cardiologist changed my blood pressure medication without consulting me. I've been fighting to restore it as it worked just fine for 30 years. These doctors will not walk over another's orders. But this Lopressor med I am on now shows a side effect of what happened to me as well. Further, it has not lowered my pressure at all. I am still waiting to hear from my doctor.
What in the world is happening when docs are changing a person's meds without consult or even knowledge? Sheesh. Hope it gets resolved for you soon!

Here too! It was so warm on the Lucius walks today, I didn't need the extra scarf and even unzipped my coat a bit! Woot! Snow is softening and melting and poor Lucius, who had gotten used to walking atop the hard snow, found himself punching through it today and having to work his way out. Took him a few times to get the idea.

I'm enjoying the warmer weather and the day in general. Wishing the same for everyone. @hawkdon, hope you maybe got some more sleep later?

Well, I will head out tomorrow AM for N. GA; my daughter is having surgery on Wednesday morning. When she fell, she not only broke the bone in her leg, she also tore ligaments and tendons on the inner side right above the ankle. Dr. said technically it could heal without surgery but there would probably be problems later on, so best to get it taken care of.

I got my hair chopped off today--went from lower chin length to almost a pixie. Tired of having my hair in my face all the time. It will be easier to take care of on my trip too.
Hope your girl sails through successful surgery, Cinna. Safe trip and take care of yourself. Pax Tecum.

Yes I catnapped here on the couch a bit////thanks.... ;)

I'm okay now. Had a stressful 2 weeks. My car kept slowing down and came to a stop. This happened 3 times and had to be towed home on Friday after paying the mechanic $600.20 to find the problem. He has had it for 3 days now and my son rang
him today to ask the outcome. He said he thinks he found the problem and installed a Camshaft and Crank Sensor. He said it was a no charge. I drove the car home 20 klms without a problem. Please, please, let's hope this was the problem.
Hope so Oscash!

Good morning, boys and girls. It's foggy and a balmy 47F here. We're supposed to have an overcast but warmish day. Fine. Beats brutal cold.

DSIL was going to make a part that he needs for my door using his 3D printer. It was supposed to take a few hours, and he said it would be making itself while he was at work yesterday. I dunno if that happened or not because it's way too early for him to be up after working until the wee hours. Meanwhile, the door has been repaired and is working just fine. Until he installs the part, it doesn't close tight so he installed a hook & eye. I told him that it would keep me from wandering when I get "old" and forgetful so even after the new part is installed, we should keep it ;).

AFAIK, there's nothing on the agenda today.

DH & spent the morning helping our GD and daughter sort our Girl Scout cookies. DD chairs the troop's cookie drive so we lend a hand wrangling the 250 cases of cookies (3000 boxes) she and DH picked up from the GS cookie depot this morning.

The rest of the day will be a relaxed one for me.
250 cases of girl guide cookies ( 3,000 ) cookies 😱 . That’s a LOT of cookies Starsong. Clearly you are helping her sell them. What a great mom you are.

We had rain early this morning but, by the time we went out, it was dry and bright, a nice change after so much rain.

At work, the weather didn't really make much difference to my day but, these days, I try to arrange things around the weather forecast.:)

It's in the winter that I sometimes miss work; catching up with everyone on Monday mornings, the routine and ticking off the days, that Friday feeling. Once the weather warms up though, I love the freedom of just being able to do what I want with my time. I have a friend who still works, 4 days a week, and she thinks the opposite. She hates having to go to work in the cold and come home in the dark and would happily take winters off and just work when the weather is nicer, :D

That's enough waffling for today - time for some hot chocolate ☕

Today we didn’t go for a usual walk. I had an appointment with my doctor and it was at the hospital. I’m getting a nurse practitioner assigned to me since my regular doctor is moving to Ontario. I’m happy about that and I like how they include my husband in my appointments. He came in with me. He usually comes in with me whenever I have a doctors appointment.

Tomorrow we have to take our dogs in to get the second part of a vaccine. It’s all the way in Halifax so it’s a few hundred kilometres. Then I have an appointment to see my family doctor before he goes away. I need to see a dermatologist to get some skin cancer burnt off of my face. It’s a sore that’s been there for months. It doesn’t get any better and bleeds often. Wish me luck. 🍀

Wishing you all a wonderful afternoon .
