How are you today?

It's morning again, and rain is on the way if the weathernerd and the radar are to be believed. I dunno. Yesterday the radar showed it pouring right over us, but nothing happened. Another time it showed no rain, but we had rain. WTH? Is the weather now subject to AI, too?

What we can believe is that the temp is 70F! Really. It probably won't be warmer than 75 todday after a high temp yesterday of 80. Then...another cold snap. High temp Sunday not more than 50. What a see-saw our weather has been!

If we're really going to get rain in a few minutes and it only lasts another few minutes, you know where I'll be. There's not a lot left to do in the places where there will (hopefully!) be flowers, but I wanna be done with it. The rest of the garden can wait because it's not in spots where I can see them from my patio.

Time for coffee.

I'm up and disappointed because it's raining and not supposed to clear up until later this afternoon. That means no playing in the dirt😥 today and probably not before mid-week because it's going to get cold. Really cold🥶. Our high temp tomorrow won't even get to 50F!

So...good opportunity to get things done in The Hovel, right? Yeah. Well, I can make a plan. Whether or not it gets carried out is another story. LOL

Right now I need to make myself some breakfast while I think about a Plan.

Can we say winter? It's back. 45F right now, and that's going to be our high temp today. Guess who won't be playing in the dirt again. We won't see warm-ish temps until maybe Wednesday:(

The only thing I have to do today is make dinner. DD/DSIL will be working on their tax return, so I'm gonna cook. Oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes, some kind of green veggie. Peach cobbler for dessert.

Yesterday DD was chained to her computer finishing up a long transcript so I made dinner yesterday, too. It was only shepherd's pie, but at least it wasn't take-out.

DST starts two weeks from today. Woohoo!

I hope lots of folks post today so it won't be as boring a day as yesterday!

It's a chilly morning, Invisipeeps! 29F? That's chilly, especially after a week of very warm and spring-like weather.

Zowie! Have y'all seen the reports on TV about the blizzard in the northeast? Makes me grateful that I don't live in big sNOw country anymore. My hometown has only had about 200" so far, but one small town nearby and closer to Lake Superior is up to 250", with 50" of it in just the past five days. Ugh.

I dunno what I'm gonna do today, but whatever it is, it'll be indoors.

Carry on.

Lil bit sad, son in California called last night to say once again his wife has found a home in Idaho
she wants to look at for their retirement home.
He tried to say he is still pushing for lower Mo. or upper Ark. but she keeps looking in Idaho.
By his voice and knowing my son I have to accept Idaho is looking more and more like where he will end up.

I won't do the guilt trip act my Mom used on me to sway him.
I stayed upbeat and positive about the house she wants to look at but my heart just sank when we hung up.
I was sure hoping we'd be closer for a change. He moved to live with his Dad when he was 15 so our visits
are so minimal. You'd think I'd be used to this by now, oh well. If he does end up over this way, it will be
that much sweeter, otherwise, it's life as we know it over decades already.
I've made it through worse things... onward we go!
