Between last October and February, I measured 7 1/2" of rain at our house, but we can have rain till May.
Right now we are in the transition between the lush green winter season and the yellow/brown summer drought.
On my hike this morning, I found that smaller plants are already drying out while trees are still in full bloom.
Wild cacti are just starting to bloom. If we'll get more rain, then the winter green will get a reprieve.
