The government pays benefits in advance rather than arrears. His payment on December 29th was to cover the full month of January. Since he'd already passed, they clawed back that benefit.I have been dealing with the V.A. since my husband's death. I saw a sizeable withdrawal from my bank account. It was the same amount deposited on Dec. 29th. DH passed on Dec 26th. I figured it was making up the overpayment but they never sent me anything so I called them to be sure and they confirmed the overpayment.
I did get almost an apology letter from my bank saying we had to let them take this amount. If you have questions call us.
I thought " No, it's OK. The Govt is famous for giveth then taketh away. "![]()
haha I thought coleus was something to eat that was new to me!!!Another big section of empty space weeded and Preened and mulched. Only spread two sacks of mulch this morning because...tired.
@hearlady We're in an extreme drought here, too. We're told maybe rain tonight, but only a 25% chance. Why bother to tell us that? It means there's a 75% chance that it won't.
Ima chill for a while, then maybe divide up some coleus that DD bought yesterday...it's a big pot so some for her, some for me. Maybe. Maybe not until Monday.
Are you sure you weren't thinking of coleslaw?haha I thought coleus was something to eat that was new to me!!!
