How are you today?

This is the start of a long weekend in Canada. May 24th is celebrated as Queen Victoria‘s birthday. It’s the first Monday before the 24th. It’s the official weekend to have your garden planted, cottage open, etc. We’re not doing anything special or any of those things.
 
Good evening people - just popping in to say hi and wish you all a good w/end. :)

I've had peculiar week, this week in the UK has been thunderstorms, rain, hail, sun, rinse and repeat throughout the days. Fluctuating weather, atmospheric pressure or whatever it's called made me incredibly sleepy :sleep: , addled my brain and constantly yawned. I became a walking zombie in and out of consciousness - weird.

All good today though. (y)
 
We had a good visit, and they brought pasties for lunch. They makes gr8 pasties!

It's been a nice day, not too hot, not too cool, not too breezy. Just right, said Goldilocks.

House is clean, garden is tidy, I even cleaned the a/c filter.

Aldi advertised peach cobbler gelato this week, but there wasn't any when we were there on Wednesday. DD went by this morning and there it was. She brought me some, and in a little while it's gelato time at GG's house😋. I'm not gonna share so don't even think about asking😉.
 
I am too p**ped to peddle.
I went outside and walked around the neighborhood with the neighbor boys.

First they mowed and trimmed my yard for me.
I gave them some $ for doing it.

Going to drink some Liquid I.V.
Then I am going to have tea and Lemon cookies, then go to bed.

You eat cookies before going to bed? I ate wine gums during the day Wednesday and was up the entire night . Too much sugar.
 
Have y'all noticed that morning happens every. single. day?

DD has work needing a short turnaround today so it doesn't look like we'll go anywhere or do anything until she finishes it.

It's gonna be another nice day. There's nothing that really needs doing in the garden (!!!!) so it could be that all I do today is sit around on my dead center.

I'm just glad it happens before I get up at noonish. LOL
 
Good Sunday morning. Since one is closer to God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth, I went to "church" this morning and deadheaded and watered everything.

We've been promised a 35% chance of rain later this afternoon. Pfffft. A 65% chance that it won't. Jussayin'

Today is refill-the-pillbox day. Don't ask me why, but it's a little chore that I positively loathe. >le sigh<

DSIL is off today, and that might mean that DD will cook. Or not.

Ironed? Ironed? I have an ironing board and an iron, but mostly they just gather dust. When I moved back here and all my stuff was moved in, we had a garage sale. Got rid of lots of stuff, and DD figured as long as I already had an ironing board and iron, she'd sell hers. On the rare occasions when something needs to be ironed, guess who gets to do it? LOL DD's no dummy.

It's gonna be a stellar day today. I might even turn on the a/c. Yup. It is summer, after all. Can you believe it's almost Memorial Day? School's out mid-week, and our neighborhood pool opens this week. Seems like we only just took down the Christmas decorations!

Yesterday's promised rain didn't happen. I even watered to encourage it...sort of like washing your car so it'll rain.

I was just thinking how glad I'd be when Georgia's primaries are over tomorrow so that the commercials will stop. Silly me. They won't stop; they'll just be different ones between the primary winners from now until November. >le sigh<

DD needs to go to Home Depot to get 25 lb sacks of sand to weigh down her new patio umbrella. It's a big one like mine...6ftx9ft. I'm gonna go, too, just in case there are plants that I "need."

Time to tidy up and get dressed.
