How big is the universe?

How big is the Universe is a "big" question. I'm no astrophysicist by any means. But I think whether the Universe is finite (having a limit) or infinite is a huge deal. The finite/infinite thing changes all the math, depending on which you use. I'm not sure if this is correct, but an infinite universe would mean cramming the universe into an infinitely tiny point, at the Big Bang- something quantum mechanics says you can't do?????? But something Einstein says is possible???
Personally, I hope the Universe is infinite. Us white hair guys have to stick together.

Well done 11 minute long YouTube video.

I am one that leans towards an infinite 3-dimensional universe with an eternal past and an eternal future. What lies beyond our observable universe may have different physical parameters and there may be vast areas of nothing. A key reason that is likely is because within the infinite possible combinations of basic physical parameters, it is immensely unlikely what we find where we DNA life exists with such fine-tuned parameters for life is what is without a more complex reason.

The universe doesn't ask itself this question of how big it is. It doesn't operate that way, except us humans who ask a ton of questions. It doesn't need to "know", because it is constantly making itself. We have been part of this. Nothing lost, nothing gained.
